Sustainability has become a key priority for companies these days, reflected in various initiatives. As part of their sustainability initiatives, PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional marked its 7th anniversary by contributing to the environment. For this anniversary, KPI presented 7 key "gifts", symbolizing their 7 years of growth. One of the highlights of the 7 key gifts was Employee Volunteerism through Green Journey Challenge. Through this initiative, KPI raised IDR 178 million, to plant 2,024 mangroves with Carbon Ethics Foundation in Indramayu, West Java.
“One of our Employee Volunteerism initiatives, the Green Journey Challenge, successfully raised IDR 178 million, which will be allocated to the CarbonEthics Foundation to support the planting of 2,024 mangroves in Indramayu. Furthermore, several other charitable events were initiated by employees as part of our 7th-anniversary celebrations,” said Hermansyah Y Nasroen, Corporate Secretary of Kilang Pertamina Internasional.
This collaboration aims to restore climate balance by capturing carbon and enhancing biodiversity. It also strengthens local communities through improved resilience and sustainable livelihoods.
