CarbonEthics, in collaboration with Youth Empowerment for Seagrass (SOA) and the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, held the grand opening of the first session of the Seagrass Education Academy at the University of Maritim Raja Ali Haji in Kepulauan Riau.
This program aims to educate and inspire future leaders passionate about environmental sustainability, focusing on the role of seagrass ecosystems in preserving marine biodiversity and restoring climate balance.

Marine Science Department Lecturer at Maritime Raja Ali Haji University, Aditya Hikmat Nugraha, presented the topic “Introduction to Seagrass Ecosystems”. This event successfully reached over 40 youth across Bintan Island and engaged more than 20 selected participants from diverse backgrounds.
Looking ahead, this event has several meaningful goals to empower youth, including:
Inspire youth to become advocates for marine conservation.
Foster a deeper understanding of seagrass ecosystems and their role in climate resilience.
Build a network of future leaders passionate about environmental sustainability in the region.
“Through this program, I gained valuable insights into seagrass and its ecosystem services, particularly its role in stabilizing the seabed. This experience has broadened my understanding of seagrass and its significance. Thank you Seagrass Education Academy (SEA)!” said Siti Mardiania, Student of Marine Science University of Maritim Raja Ali Haji.
By fostering education about marine life, such as seagrass, we can inspire and support passionate future leaders dedicated to environmental sustainability. Join us in preserving the blue carbon ecosystem through our restoration initiatives at www.carbonethics.co/partnership.
As organizations embrace data-driven workflows, a diploma in data analytics offers a relevant pathway. Completing the program readies professionals to interpret data, present insights via dashboards, and support performance evaluation in contract or project environments. The College of Contract Management connection ensures that the diploma is not isolated from real industry demands, which benefits in adding value in contract, procurement, or governance roles. In effect, this path turns raw numbers into narratives that help organizations act with confidence.
Looking to advance your expertise and make a headway in your field? The College of Contract Management offers cutting-edge programs tailored to professionals in contract management, construction, design, and cybersecurity.
Inspiring future leaders and building a network of passionate advocates is a proactive and effective way to ensure the long-term health of the ocean. google doodle baseball

I really appreciate efforts like this event to educate youth about seagrass ecosystems since they are often overlooked in marine conservation discussions. When I visited Bintan last year, I noticed how important seagrass beds were for local fishermen and coastal stability. For anyone interested in marine life and sustainable products, Monkey Mart offers some great eco-friendly options that support communities connected to these ecosystems. It’s encouraging to see education paired with practical support for preservation.
