In collaboration with Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA), CarbonEthics has developed a coastal ecosystems educational book, “Kenali Ekosistem Pesisir,” designed to introduce young learners in Indonesia to the ecosystems that shape coastlines and sustain marine biodiversity.
By presenting these concepts in an accessible format, the book helps young learners understand how coastal environments function and why they are essential in strengthening climate resilience.
The educational book emphasizes the five coastal ecosystems that play complementary roles in nature and marine life. This ecosystem includes: (1) estuaries ecosystem; (2) mangrove ecosystem; (3) beach ecosystem; (4) seagrass ecosystem; (5) coral ecosystem.

By learning about coastal ecosystems from an early age, young learners can develop a stronger awareness of environmental stewardship. Building this understanding among future generations is an important step toward strengthening climate resilience and sustainable coastal management in Indonesia.
