The regulation provides stronger legal and operational foundations for carbon trading by addressing several key matters, including distinguishing Corresponding Adjustment (CA) and Non-CA transactions, as well as officially recognizing Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM) mechanisms and international standards to accelerate early participation and investment

Mechanism of Carbon Trading through Carbon Exchange Established

Indonesia is taking a major step forward by regulating carbon trading through the carbon exchange. OJK has issued Carbon Exchange regulation through Financial Services Authority Regulation Number 14 of 2023 (POJK 14/2023).
