THRIVE: The Holistic Mangrove Rehabilitation Initiative

A sustainable mangrove rehabilitation initiative a with long-term environmental impact and community resilience.

FOLU Net Sink 2030

Indonesia's Forestry and Other Land Uses (FOLU) Net Sink 2030 is a guideline created by the Indonesia Ministry of Forestry and Environment for climate adaptation and mitigation by utilizing the power of natural climate solutions (forests and wetlands) to absorb carbon emissions.

It aims to absorb 140 million tonnes of CO2e by 2030, achieve Net Zero Emissions by 2060, and meet the nation's NDC (National Determined Contribution).

Holistic Approach to Coastal Conservation

Beyond planting trees, our initiative empowers coastal communities through innovative technology and safety measures for sustainable mangrove restoration.

Benefits for Companies

Indonesia's Mangrove Rehabilitation for NDC Targets

The mangrove conservation project offers an opportunity for institutions to solidify their green commitment. Our mangrove conservation project provides a platform for meaningful collaboration and shared outcomes, including:

Registration to the National Mangrove Map (Peta Mangrove Nasional)

Registration to the National Registry System (Sistem Registri Nasional - SRN)

Contribute to Indonesia's Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) Target

Enhancing Coastal Resilience through Mangrove Conservation

Restoring mangroves is important for the planet's well-being, biodiversity, and coastal communities as it provides a range of benefits for both the environment and socio-economic development.

Throughout its 20-year lifespan, a single mangrove can absorb 20kg of CO2e, ten times more than terrestrial plants. This makes mangroves a crucial natural climate solution in decarbonization efforts. They also support marine biodiversity, enhance coastal water quality, and prevent coastal erosion.

The project will impact the local communities economically and educationally. Economically, it creates new job opportunities for them to increase their livelihoods and boost local economic growth.

Educationally, they will receive climate knowledge and skills needed to restore and protect nature.
