Harapan Island, July 7, 2023 – Rocktree Group, a leading multinational dry bulk logistics company, recently partnered with CarbonEthics, an impact enterprise dedicated to restoring climate balance and a pioneer in blue carbon conservation, in a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) event aimed at sequestering carbon emissions. Seventeen dedicated Rocktree Group employees planted 500 mangroves at Harapan Island (7/7).

The CSR event held at Pulau Harapan served as a significant initiative to restore and preserve the blue carbon ecosystem by planting mangroves. Mangroves play a vital role in restoring climate balance as they sequester up to 10x more carbon than terrestrial forest. By planting 500 mangroves, Rocktree Group demonstrated their commitment to sustainability and their dedication to minimizing their carbon footprint.
The event involved the participation of 17 passionate Rocktree Group employees who enthusiastically contributed their time and effort to make a positive impact on the environment.
